It’s with regret we’ve decided not to re open for our 2020 season at the moment. Earl will remain in his hibernation for the time being!

There a few reasons as follows, and reasons why we have only now made our decision.

1) In the interest of our personal health, Jodi and I are both asthmatic putting us in a higher risk category.

2) In the interest of public Health, everyone NEEDS to do their bit to follow the advice, and we can’t be responsible for people feeling it’s ok to gather in groups unnecessarily.

3) For the one and only time in my life I believe we need to send a message to tourists that Cornwall is closed for a few weeks. We don’t need people holidaying down here stretching our already stretched NHS, and putting our (high proportion of) elderly and vulnerable at greater risk. Cornwall WILL be back open for business, we're not going anywhere, and we're all going to need your support to get through the next year.

4) Things are clearing up regarding support from the Government, we believe there will the support we need to bring our business through this and maintain a roof over our heads. We are also pleased with unofficial noises coming from our landlords the National Trust, (both business and residential) about the options we have with them.

We are saddened by this obviously, but it is becoming clearer we all need to follow advice and stay well if we can, and for our fight back to work we need EVERYONE to comply.

We will get through it, and the latter half of this season will hopefully make up for the beginning.
